"When you ensure that you get all the input to a problem, you also engage all employees. At Duni, the operators in production were thus involved in everything from ordering to acceptance tests at the supplier of new production lines. The resistance that otherwise exists with new technology did not appear and we got to the right rate of production much faster. All growing pains were accepted and solutions were found without trying to move the problem to someone else. When we moved this approach to also apply to new digital aids, we installed both MES systems and new SAP modules very efficiently. Employees learned everything from programming Python to understanding various parameters in SAP in their spare time to make everything work better.
CoD's recipe is so simple. Are there the right people in the room, not more, not fewer. Do we all get perspectives of; what is the problem, what action are we taking and what is done next week. Action, Action, Action. I liked it as a leader and all employees liked it.
Consensus means that everyone is heard, not decided."
